Here’s a look at just some of the new event additions we are adding in 2024! Be sure to check our CALENDAR for more information.
Revitalizing Standard Magic – We will be joining WotC’s push to revitalize the Standard format by offering Standard Showdown events weekly on Wednesday nights! These events will come with store credit prizes, as well as exclusive promos specific to Standard play. In addition, Store Championship and RCQ events will use the Standard format in 2024, so dust off those Standard skills and join us in bringing back one of the cornerstone Magic formats to its former glory!
Pauper Moves to Monthly – With weekly Standard moving to Wednesday, our Pauper tournaments will now be run monthly on the first Sunday of each month, beginning Sunday, January 7th at 12:00 PM.
Standard events begin on Wednesday, January 3rd!
Magic Commander Parties are making a move to Sundays! In order to spice up our Sunday Commander days, all Commander Party events will move to Sundays to bolster our existing Commander play. Each Commander Party event will have a unique theme to compliment the current set release and will still offer exclusive promos you can only get by participating.
3 Round Weekly Magic Events – In order to accommodate as many players as possible for our weekly events, our Monday- Thursday Magic tournaments will be starting a little later and moving to a 3 Round format. Pioneer, Legacy, Standard, and Modern will now post their first rounds at 6:30 pm.
THE ABOVE CHANGE DOES NOT INCLUDE OUR FRIDAY NIGHT MAGIC DRAFTS
Those will remain the same, with the draft beginning at 6:00 pm.
Lorcana Constructed events will be added to the calendar every Thursday night! These will be more competitive events where players can win store credit and exclusive Lorcana promo kit materials. For those looking to keep it a little more casual, we will still offer our Casual League Play on Saturdays!
And soooo many other TCGs! 2024 is shaping to be a great year for Trading Card Games. We’ve already mentioned Lorcana above, but be on the lookout for demos, events, and more for the Sorcery TCG, Altered TCG (Demo in January!), and Star Wars Unlimited (coming this Spring!).
Warhammer – Age of Sigmar – Due to excellent local turnout and player demand, we will adding more Age of Sigmar events to our docket for 2024. Look for our first event of the New Year on Saturday, January 6th! For you 40K fans out there…..don’t worry! There will still be a whole slate of 40K RTTs and other events throughout the year.
Also on our radar will be a variety of Hobby Nights, including Gundam Build Days (Check our first event on January 13th!) and Painting Workshops/ Classes! We will be adding these events throughout the year.
And there will be more.
