Winter Break Family Game Days – Dungeons and Dragons Beginner Workshops

Join us over February Break for some great family-friendly learn to play opportunities! Each weekday afternoon during February break we will be featuring a special Learn to Play event in our Game Room – perfect for the whole family to Play Something New while the kids are off from school!
Tuesday, February 18th we will have 2 Dungeons and Dragons Beginner Workshops!
Curious about Role-Playing Games? Heard about Dungeons and Dragons but don’t know where to start? We’ll be hosting two interactive introductory-level workshops to help new players learn the basics and get started!
Workshop 1: Intro to Dungeons and Dragons – 12:00 pm (approx. 90 minutes)
What is a Role-Playing Game? What is Dungeons and Dragons all about? We’ll walk you through the basics of the game, from weapons and character creation to skill checks and basic combat. Make a character and play through an introductory adventure that teaches the basics….room by room!
Workshop 2: Creativity and Worldbuilding – 1:30 pm (approx. 90 minutes)
It’s time to get creative! The second workshop is about enhancing your own D&D experience with your imagination! Learn about building and playing a character, interacting with the world, and the value of role-playing. Exercise your own creativity by helping to build a fictional setting from the ground up!
Please Note: These workshops will be intended for players with little or no experience. If you are an experienced player looking to add to your game, we will have more advanced workshops in the future!
Entry into the event will be $30 and will cover BOTH workshops. Entry also includes a set of dice, a miniature to represent your character, and character sheets – all of which you can take with you when you leave!
This event is for ages 8+ and children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. If you are a parent bringing in kids, you’ll get in FREE to hang out while they play, although you are welcome and encouraged to purchase a ticket to play as well!
