December Play Something New

We will be teaching and playing a different Featured Game every Friday night! Beginning at 5:30 pm, we will be teaching our Featured Game for the week. We will have open copies available to play for the night. The featured game for December 22nd will be Tapple & Tapple 10!
Each round in Tapple, one player draws a topic card, then starts the timer. In the next ten seconds, that player must give a single word answer that fits within the topic, press down the letter key in a special electronic device that corresponds to the first letter of that word, and restart the timer. The next player must then think of a word for the topic that starts with a different letter, press down that starting letter, and restart the timer. If a player runs out of time, she’s out for the round. If only one player remains in a round, she collects the topic card. If players manage to press down all of the letters before knocking all but one player out of a round, the players reset the device, draw a new topic card, then start the timer again, this time having to give two answers for the topic – each starting with a different letter – within the allotted time. Whoever collects the most topic cards wins!
Tapple 10 offers 10 unique games that are challenging and fun for the whole family. The Tapple 10 deck of 80 cards offers 160 different categories that will engage players of all ages, and comes packed in its own travel case with sand timer for fast word fun on-the-go. The included instruction booklet describes how to play each game, and the recommended number of players & difficulty level of each game.
We will be raffling off one open copy of the game at the end of the night to event participants! Additionally, the Featured Game will be 20% off during the event!
If you were already participating in our board game day, you’ll automatically be covered for our Play Something New night when it starts!
